Ksenia Parkhatskaya

Ksenia is one of the most interesting and versatile of contemporary artists in the field of jazz and swing dance. Trained in ballroom dance since the age of 6, modern jazz and theatre since 2006. Currently, her specialization is solo jazz dance styles: Ragtime, Charleston, Swing, Jazz Roots, Bebop. Over the last years Ksenia has been studying African dance styles and House. Play, musicianship, versatility and individual voice are the core ideas of her work.

Ksenia has appeared as soloist with a number of big bands, to name a few Christian McBride Trio (US), Barcelona Jazz Orchestra (Sp), Paul Dunlea Big Band (Irl) and Georgyi Garanyan Big Band (Rus). She has created choreographic works for TV and film such as SYTYCD’15 (Rus), SYTYCD’15 (Ukr), Harbinez (Rus) and etc. She is also much in demand at many classical music festivals. Ksenia performed with the 80 piece orchestra Paris Opera in Royan in France, and she has appeared at the Festival O/Modernt in Stockholm dancing a full-length O
