NigaHiga is a well-known YouTuber who makes YouTube videos that are extremely funny and is also an actor. He is very famous and has over 20 million subscribers on YouTube. There are many unique things about NigaHiga and seven of them are featured in this article.

1) Studied Nuclear Medicine in College

Before NigaHiga decided to drop out of college and follow his dream of becoming a famous YouTuber, he studied Nuclear Medicine At the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. He studied here for two years and then decided to drop out so he would be able to dedicate all of his time to YouTube. Besides being an awesome YouTuber, NigaHiga is also extremely smart and has a large amount of knowledge.

 2) Has a Black Belt in Judo

NigaHiga was a state champion at his high school which was Waiakea High School for his skills in Judo. He was very good at Jud and even received his black belt.He also wrestled in High School but was better at Judo. He was well known throughout his High School for his Judo skills.

 3) Born In Hawaii

NigaHiga was born in Hilo, Hawaii on June 6, 1990. He graduated from Waiakea High School in 2008. His family is of Japanese descent, specifically from Okinawa. His parents are Wendell and Luci Higa and he also has an older brother named Kyle Higa. NigaHiga now lives in Las Vegas in Nevada. His mother Luci is also Nigahiga’s manager.

 4) Starred in a Horror Movie

NigaHiga starred in the movie “Tell Me How I Die” in 2016 which was about the results of a drug test trial on college students. The other actors included in the movie besides NigaHiga were Virginia Gardener, Nathan Kress, Kirby Bliss Blanton and others. These actors experience “side effects” in the movie that shows them how their death will take place.

 5) Career started with Lip Singing

NigaHiga’s career first started when he and his friend Sean Fujiyoshi posted a YouTube video of themselves lip-synching to songs in the middle of 2006 while they were enrolled in Waiakea High School. They used to make their videos with an HD Flip camera and then slowly started expanding the variety of topics of their videos. Since then, he has produced a large number of videos and now has over 20 million subscribers on YouTube.

6) Formed “YOMFYOMF” Network

NigaHiga helped to form the network “YOMFYOMF” which features online video-making competitions. The acronym stands for “You offend ME, You offend my FAMILY” and features talents from various performs. Also, the channel presents high-quality programming which attracts a lot of audience members. Most of the talents that are presented on this network feature Asian American pop culture but also include many other races. NigaHiga united with other YouTubers and formed this wonderful network.

7) Formed a Parody K-Pop group

Nigahiga formed a parody K-Pop group named “Boys Generally Asian” as a joke and it became very popular. Each of the members of the band was given a fake birthday so they appear younger than they actually are. The members of this group are NigaHiga, Philip Wang, Jun Sung, David Choi and Justin Chon. They released music and it instantly climbed the ranking of K-Pop and became very popular with Korean K-Pop fans but also with American fans as well.
