Most Vlogs are about documenting a person’s daily life and may also be focused on a specific topic or hobby. One of the main goals of vloggers is to be personally connected to their viewers, resulting in an increase in their amount of popularity across YouTube.

A “YouTuber” is an individual who uses the website often and appears or produces videos that are uploaded. People may also associate the word “YouTuber” as an individual who just watches the videos rather than producing them. In most cases, people associate the word “YouTuber” as a person who creates videos rather than somebody who only watches them and does not produce them.

#3 AMA – Ask Me Anything

This popular word on YouTube stands for “Ask Me Anything” which means that viewers can ask the YouTuber or Vlogger questions that they would like them to answer. Many YouTubers use this as a way to connect their viewers to them and make their channel more personal.

#4 Collab

This word is shortened for “Collaboration” which means YouTubers or celebrities connect with each other and create a YouTube video featuring the both of them. Some examples of this are friends, family members, celebrities and ad sponsors.

#5 Gone Wrong

This phrase is used often throughout YouTube and represents that a challenge or prank did not go as planned. By using this word, viewers are attracted to the featured video because they want to see how exactly it went wrong.

#6 Unboxing

This word is used for when YouTubers are opening packages or boxes and decide to make a video dedicated to it which increases viewers. Sometimes the products they may be unboxing will be sponsored or could be a YouTubers first impression of a product.

#7 GRWM- Get Ready With Me

This stands for “Get Ready With Me” which is mostly used by beauty YouTubers and features their makeup look or hairstyle. Many viewers enjoy these types of videos because they can see each step that the YouTuber does in order to get ready which may be very helpful.

#8 Challenge

Challenge is a term used usually in video titles on YouTube to attract the viewer’s attention. By including the word “challenge” in a video title, viewers begin to wonder what the particular challenge that the YouTuber may be doing. Most challenges are funny and draw a lot of attention to YouTubers.

#9 Haul

This word is used to describe a popular type of YouTube video which is where creators show their viewers what they recently bought. Usually, they go into depth about what they received and focus a whole video just on the haul which interests the audience.

YouTube has hundreds of different words, terms or phrases that represent something particular and are used all throughout YouTube.
