While Youtube may not currently be the premier destination for livestreaming, it is quickly gaining popularity, attracting big names and big numbers. Here’s five of the top YouTube livestreamers on Youtube.
#1 – IcePoseidon
IcePoseidon, real name Paul Denino, may not have the biggest numbers on Youtube, but he’s certainly one of the most well-known streamers on the platform. The reason for this lies in his start. Originally Ice streamed Runescape on twitch.tv, but his fame comes from hugely popular IRL streaming. Unfortunately, IRL streaming comes with a price, and Ice was plagued by highly destructive pranksters who would figure out his location based on context clues and call in false bomb and shooter threats to get reactions from the police. This form of trolling, called SWATing, wastes important time and resources of a lot of people and is heavily frowned upon. Twitch eventually pulled the plug on Ice’s stream when police were called to a plane that Ice was boarding. After being permabanned from twitch, IcePoseidon started streaming on Youtube, where he retains his title, ‘King of IRL Streaming’ with innovative and interesting events like a game show (the Cx Factor) and a 24/7 road trip Livestream with multiple cameras in an RV. Ice regularly experiments and pushes the boundaries of IRL streaming, and it is doubtful that he’s going anywhere soon.
#2 – Keemstar
Keemstar, also known as DJ Keemstar and Killer Keemstar, is another household name who streams on Youtube. Daniel M. Keem, 36, is best known for the Youtube show ‘Drama Alert,’ a high energy news and gossip show featured around Youtube and Youtuber drama. However, he has been branching out, playing games like Fortnite on stream. Similarly to IcePoseidon, Keemstar streams on Youtube after having several twitch accounts terminated. His gaming livestreaming and videos have been growing despite such setbacks, and in May 2018 he even hosted a Fortnite tournament that boasted over 5 million estimated views and big names in the industry such as TSM Myth, TypicalGamer, and IcePoseidon.

#3 – Pack A Puncher
Pack A Puncher started his Youtube channel in January 2016 with the goal of becoming a full-time Youtuber. His content focused largely on ‘Call of Duty: Zombies’ and other FPS games, as well as the occasional vlog. He now has over 900,000 subscribers, and thousands of viewers watch him play Fortnite as a self-classified pro console player.
#4 – TypicalGamer
TypicalGamer, real name Andre, is perhaps one of the most prevalent and popular gaming streamers on Youtube. His account is quickly closing in on 7 million subscribers, and over 10,000 people watch his Fortnite livestreams. On May 17th, 2018, he achieved a new peak concurrent viewers, clocking in at over 46,000 viewers. While he started his career with Red Dead Redemption and built it on Grand Theft Auto 5, he now posts mostly Fortnite and The Crew content.
#5 – Avxry
Avery Lopriore, 21, is a Youtuber with over 1.4 million subscribers. He built his channel on Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto 5 content, and now creates videos of and livestreams Fortnite. However, one of his most popular videos remains a GTA trickshot video from October of 2016 that has garnered more than 5 million views.
